Each role opens up a selection of cards that can be used in decks. In this article we have the current list of cards for each role visually displayed so you can get a better idea of the options available.
…Masters of the Court
Next up, the Crane pack. The Crane clan are in a pretty good position, they’ve been mid to top tier all along and are well suited to benefit from a new clan pack. The question now is whether this pack will push them ahead of the rest and how long that will last!
…Meta Check – Denver
This weekend we have the Denver Kotei. This has the Unicorn pack legal but not yet the Crane pack. It will also be right before the upcoming changes to the restricted list.
…Warriors of the Wind
At last we have the Unicorn pack! Players have been looking forward to this since the start of the game when Unicorn were found to be weak. Since then, Unicorn have received significant boosts and now the question is whether this clan pack will push them to top tier!

This is a weird one. For Adepticon 2019 there are two L5R Kotei events. One event starting on Friday and having Day 2 on Saturday while the second starts on Saturday and has it’s Day 2 on Sunday.

Paris Grand Kotei
The 2019 Paris Grand Kotei has begun. Despite all the Elemental Championships we’ve seen, this is the first big tournament we have in the Children of the Emperor environment. It has a healthy 168 players, so whatever the result, it’s going to be informative!

We don’t normally cover Elemental Championships, but Madrid is currently running a 76 player tournament with Children of the Empire legal! So despite it being an EC, it is bigger than some of the Kotei we would normally cover and is an early insight into the new meta.
